About Me

Amy Grasman, MSN, FNP-BC, joined City of Hope® Cancer Center Atlanta in October 2022, bringing with her 17 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Professional. As Manager of Advanced Practitioners and a Nurse Practitioner in Breast Surgical Oncology, she provides preoperative and postoperative care to breast cancer patients, including managing their primary care and medication needs.

A member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the United Advanced Practice Nurses of Georgia and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Grasman has been recognized with several institutional awards for excellence in care and high patient satisfaction.

“Working in oncology allows me to connect with a very special patient population,” she says. “Their bravery and grace inspire me every day. In addition to taking care of patients’ medical needs, I try to make sure each feel seen as an individual.”

After earning her Associate of Science in Nursing degree from Darton College in Albany, Georgia, Grasman earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in Arizona. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing and postgraduate training as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Albany State University in Georgia.

Her career working in academic medicine, hospital care and private practice has included key roles in the areas of cardiovascular surgery, occupational health, palliative care, bariatric surgery and primary care, including three years as interim chief nursing officer and coordinator of bariatric surgery for a community medical center. Grasman has advanced cardiovascular life support and basic life support certifications from the American Heart Association. Outside of City of Hope, Grasman enjoys family time with her husband, two children and four grandchildren. Her hobbies include traveling, visiting the beach and boating.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
