About Me

Dr. Shawn Blick joined City of Hope Phoenix in August 2021 as a penile implant surgeon and men's health specialist. Dr. Blick provides personalized, whole-person care to patients with erectile dysfunction and male incontinence.

With extensive experience in surgery, Dr. Blick provides advanced treatments for cancer patients facing issues related to male incontinence and dysfunction. Penile implant surgery is a treatment option for those with several cancer types including, prostate cancer, who wish to remain sexually active, and for whom nonsurgical treatments have been ineffective. Dr. Blick takes great pride in educating patients, answering their questions, and ensuring they are active participants in the treatment decision-making process.

Dr. Blick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nutritional biochemistry from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He earned his medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, New York. Dr. Blick then completed a residency in general surgery and urology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York, New York.

Prior to joining City of Hope, Dr. Blick has had extensive experience in a variety of healthcare settings. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American Urological Association, Sexual Medicine Society of North America, American Society for Men’s Health and Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons.
