Radiologist Christos Vassiliou, DO, joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) in July 2010. Working at the hospital in Tulsa, he is part of a team of doctors and clinicians dedicated to patient-centered cancer care.

Board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology, Dr. Vassiliou serves in the imaging department at CTCA®, interpreting images from multiple imaging modalities and working with the mammography department.

“Imaging is an ever-evolving field,” Dr. Vassiliou says. “There are always new technologies and techniques becoming available. I stay up to date on the latest advances in radiology to benefit all of the patients at our hospital in Tulsa.”

Dr. Vassiliou received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. He also completed an internship in general medicine and a residency in radiology at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Throughout his education, Dr. Vassiliou won several awards for academic achievement. He also has an interest in clinical research and has contributed to published articles and presentations. In addition, Dr. Vassiliou is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Osteopathic College of Radiology, the American College of Radiology and the American Osteopathic Association.

Outside of CTCA, Dr. Vassiliou likes spending time with his wife and son. Together, they enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing and camping.
Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
